About Our CHHS Culinary Arts Program:
Charles Henderson Culinary Arts Department provides an excellent opportunity for students interested in hospitality, tourism, and cooking. Culinary Arts is one of the many career path options at CHHS.
CHHS Culinary Arts Program has participated in some wonderful events over the years. Everything from hosting the Pike County Chamber of Commerce for a Charcuterie Board Competition to preparing and hosting at Charles Henderson High School Homecoming Reception to participating in the NASA HUNCH culinary challenge.
Charles Henderson High School’s culinary arts students participated in NASA’s HUNCH culinary challenge, creating and submitted recipes for potential use on the International Space Station. The students research space food, focusing on nutritional guidelines, consistency, and taste. They competed in preliminary rounds, with the top teams invited to the finals at the Johnson Space Center.
